Lim Ah Cheng's primary source of inspiration for the past 17 years has been the horse, a subject with a longstanding tradition in Chinese painting. He is captivated by the beauty, speed, and movement of horses. To express his artistic vision, he combines traditional Chinese painting techniques with elements of western abstract expressionism, striking a balance between the traditional and the contemporary.

In his artistic process, Lim Ah Cheng employs acrylic medium and Chinese brushstrokes to create his horse-themed artworks.
