Prof. Awang Damit Ahmad's journey from technician to a renowned artist is truly inspiring. His dedication to arts led him to pursue a Diploma in Fine Arts at UiTM, where he excelled and graduated in 1983. His commitment continued as he became a full-time artist and created his first series, "Essence of Culture"His passion for art took him even further when he pursued a Master's Degree in Fine Arts at the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. in 1989. During this time, he joined art collectives like the Arlington Art Group and The Capitol Hill, influenced by expressionist Professor Tom Nakashima. This experience not only enriched his artistic skills but also allowed him to explore different aspects of art and travel across America. Prof. Awang Damit Ahmad's journey showcases the transformative power of pursuing one's passion and talents.
