Anthonie chong (born 1971.Male.) formally educated in chinese independent school where he gain his "HAN" cultural study including "HAN" word and chinese calligraphy training. Later graduated from one of the local art institute who his art teacher were mostly train under the leading art institute on Singapore Nanyang Art Academic, He been influence under the social realism from his painting teacher and expose to western art history and very much later he choose to abandon and further exploring the possibility of eastern surrealism in asian painting. And now he is working on the visual experimentation on cyber-generation related theme with one of the ancient oriental art form to exploring the figurative imaginary and contemporary inspirations. "Since year 2000, i been using a kid figure that call e-monk to make my art, by appling the eastern posturing technique in my art, i try to make my art able to communicated with the majority of the communities by using the child like figure to reminding some memories of their childhood playfull moment to cheer up their adult living". In year 2008. Chong been working on the "GAIA" series of painting, in this series of works, the natural force as his major theme and inspiration. he divided the whole series of "gaia" into five elemental themes. that was "metal","wood","water","fire", and "earth". he offenly used the natural object to design a surreal setting collaporated with the kid. Formal art education at PERAK INSTITUTE OF ART(IPOH), MALAYSIAmajoring in graphic art. graduated at year 1990.have few years of teaching experience in art colleage, also in graphic firm and art deco production house and publishing as well.
